Hii guys! And welcome to a Day in a Life as an author – except I’m a teenager who still has to balance writing and school and everything in my life! So come join me on a chaotic day in my middle school 🙂 For starters, today was pretty normal. I woke up, and the first thing on my mind was to finish a project we had due that day. I was supposed to voice record a slide on Adobe Express – I did, in fact, procrastinate a little bit but it got done when it needed to be done – and unfortunately I did not know how to do that.
So an hour later, I finally finished my audio and actually got ready for the day. I got breakfast at home which was amazing considering I’m not a huge fan of school food. Then I got on the bus and headed to school. And when I say my morning was going beautifully because the line for evolve (our x-ray security system at the front of my school) was short! Usually it nearly wraps around the whole building and all you see is a bunch of kids shivering in the cold for half an hour. But that didn’t happen today which was lovely. We got all the way through and I hurried to my homeroom class which is when me and my friends split up. Before I got there, though, I dropped off a book to my friend because there was an INSANE plot twist that she needed to read. Did she know she needed to read it? No. But did I care? Also no! So she read my book (PS: I put it on the wrong desk. Yayyy…) And the rest of the day played out as so.
Of course, I did write a little bit on some books I’m planning to give out during the classes. One of my favorites! I’m so excited to share them with you guys. So keep your eyes peeled for those. And we worked on the project. Then we headed to Band. Which is one of my most emotionally wretching classes of the day. I play the clarinet which is a high competition instrument in my school so I have to work extra hard to make sure I’m on top of my music. And sometimes, with my sports and my writing and everything going on, that can stressful. So I have to remember to balance it out so I’m not so stressed out.
After that, it was dismissal time. Which – for my friends – means they go home. But for me, it just means I go to Track Practice. So, at second bus call, I headed down to my coach’s room and we waited there for a few minutes until it was time to get onto the field. And my practices are kind of different from everyone else’s because I do long distance and short distance so I have to go to different coaches to ensure that I don’t lose my endurance and I also don’t lose my speed. It’s a bit straining but you know, it gets the job done! We stayed there for a good amount of time. Usually my coach has us go at 6:30pm but she picks and chooses when she wants us out. So sometimes we go at the right time, sometimes it’s fifteen minutes later, sometimes it’s fifteen minutes earlier, sometimes it’s thirty minutes earlier. It all depends on how she feels. But after an exhausting practice, we headed home. I did my chores, ate like a pig because I was HUNGRY. And then when I say I wrote a little bit on a few of my stories and went to BED. I was so tired. Nonetheless, it was a decent day, pretty normal for me. But thank you guys for reading! Please listen in for stories on GTGB 1 and 2 because they’re out! Love you all, have a great day!
